Non Violent Communication
Non Violent Communication was developed by Marshall Rosenberg, and here is a short taster of how he began his life work and what it is. If that was interesting then you might like to explore a bit further.
Richard & Jill Broadbent run the Centre of Compassionate Communication. They were trained by Marshall and are deeply committed to passing on this valuable way of relating. They run workshops and regular practice sessions in London, as well as retreats in Surrey.
There is an interesting TED talk (yes another one) 'Don't get hangry' (sic), describing how food/glucose effects your anger levels. Common sense maybe, but this guy has done some scientific research too.
